Jesse Russell
Jesse Russell contributed so much to the world of cellphones and technology. He has various inventions and publications in the communications systems field including wireless communication base stations, broadband cable network architecture, and devices with digital radio processing systems. Jesse is the founding Father of 2G communications. Jesse grew up in poverty with 10 siblings and had a passion for technology and his education . He was a top honor student and was the first African American hired by AT&T Laboratories directly from his HBCU College. For Jesse to be the first African American to be hired by AT&T, he paved the way for many of the young African American men to break down barriers in the technology world. We can help even more young African American men reach their full potential and create more in technology by giving them opportunity to go to school and be hired directly from school like Jesse was.
